Service Manager

Elliott Contracting is seeking a Service Manager that is responsible for overall accountability and management of our Service department, which includes managing service office and electrician personnel, developing our service business, ensuring satisfied customers, and promoting our services. Service Manager will:

• Take all necessary steps to assure customer satisfaction
• Develop a sales and marketing strategy to grow the department
• Recruit, hire, motivate and maintain the highest quality staff
• Take an active role in Service Department revenue goals
• Monitor Service Department performance including revenue, profitability and efficiency
• Schedule Service Department electricians
• Weekly/monthly invoicing for service projects
• Assure compliance with company safety policies
• Schedule staffing and materials for all service projects
• Manage the bid process for small projects
• Analyze drawings/specifications
• Review proposals/project requirements
• Secure required permits/utility services
• Secure materials in a coordinated manner working with Purchasing Department to reduce risk.
• On-site job walk-throughs
• Maintain and issue change orders, request for information, pay application support and close-out documents
• Oversee all works of the trade contractors, contributing to the selection of subcontractors, and suppliers
• Develop clear, detailed and practical measures of performance to meet project objectives
• Maintain all records, including letters, e-mails, notices, and site drawings.
• Manage service fleet
• Provide quality service to all clients in a professional and ethical manner.


• Must have minimum three (3) or more year’s extensive experience / knowledge of construction, design, and cost management as an Electrical Project Manager or similar position in Commercial, Industrial, Educational, Institutional, Entertainment, Hospitality, Medical - High Tech, Multi-Family, or Retail - Multi Use new construction
• Have thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods, etc.) as well as an understanding of Company and industry practices, processes, and standards and their impact on project activities
• Proficient in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Ability to present self in a professional manner and represent the company image
• Ability to work in fast paced environment
• Organized, with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced abilities in reading and interpreting plans and specifications
