Commitment To Safety

It is the policy of Elliott Contracting Corporation that every employee is entitled to work under the safest possible conditions for the construction industry. To this end, every reasonable effort will be made in the interest of accident prevention and health preservation.

We will endeavor to maintain a safe and healthful work place and foster a world class Safety Culture. We will provide safe working equipment, personal protective equipment, tools and material needed to get the job done safely.

It is our belief that accidents that injure people, damage machinery and cause needless personal suffering and expense, are avoidable and that many accidents can be prevented by taking a proactive approach. Elliott starts with a comprehensive orientation for new employees, continuing training for all employees and constant recognition of safe work practices.

The overall effectiveness of the Safety Program is the responsibility of the Safety Director and the Safety Committee, which involves the office and the field.

The responsibility for safety on each individual project remains with the supervisor and the field staff. The supervisor’s and journeymen are trained in a multitude of safety programs and have continual support from the Safety Department and the Project Management team.

Accidents are avoidable and do not need to happen. If all of us do our part, act safely at all times, do it right every time, and develop a healthy attitude toward accident prevention, an improved safety record will be achieved.
